Airbnb Mentoring and Consulting

You don't have to figure this out alone.

Most new hosts learn by making expensive mistakes. You don't have to.

Airbnb sent me a message in 2020 asking if I'd mentor new hosts. I said yes because I'd spent a decade learning things the hard way — and because the difference between a host who thrives and one who quietly gives up usually comes down to a few things nobody tells you upfront.

I'm not here to sell you a course or a template. I'm here to look at your specific situation and tell you exactly what I see.

You're in the right place if:

  • You're getting ready to launch and want to get it right from day one — not fix it six months in

  • You've been hosting for a year and your bookings aren't where they should be

  • Your listing looks fine to you but guests aren't clicking

  • You know your space is special and your listing doesn't show it

  • You've read all the advice online and it all sounds the same

  • You want hosting to feel better: You know it shouldn’t have to feel this hard.

You might not need me if:

  • You have a standard property and are happy being average

  • You want someone to do it all for you (that's co-hosting — I do that too! Right here.)

You're investing in your business when you invest in Elise's expertise! Her knowledge, kindness, and professionalism are all top notch!

I highly recommend the AirBnB Listing Audit and Consultation service that she provides! In truth, I was reluctant to spend the money at first because (1) I have hosted on AirBnB off and on for the last 8 years so I thought I knew my way around the platform pretty well, and (2) we are a very small short-term rental operation that consists of a single guest suite rental.

Elise walked me through my listing step-by-step helping me rework descriptions, making suggestions for additions to and subtractions from the space, and sharing tips and tricks with her insider knowledge to help my listing stay at the forefront of listing searches.

I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY to find that my listing views and first page impressions more than tripled within the first day of implementing the changes that I made with Elise's assistance, and that increase has stayed consistent across the board in the weeks since!! I am consistently outperforming similar listings in my area in every category and my AirBnB is maintaining an 85% occupancy rate! Thank you Elise!!

  • How do I know if I need a consultation or just the free resources?

Download the free resources first. If you read them and feel oriented, you may not need me yet. If you read them and feel like the advice is good but doesn't tell you what to do with your specific situation — your odd room, your difficult guest profile, your listing that looks fine but isn't converting — that's when a session is worth it. The free PDF and the $75 call are designed to work together, not compete.

  • How is this different from the advice I find on Reddit or in Facebook groups?

Most Airbnb advice online optimizes for volume — more bookings, better algorithms, higher ADR. That's useful, but it doesn't touch the things that actually make hosting sustainable: whether your listing accurately represents your space, whether your house rules are creating friction or building trust, whether the experience you're delivering is one you'd want to receive. I'm not interested in the tech stack. I'm interested in whether you've built something worth staying in — and whether your listing shows it.

  • I've been hosting for a few years. Is your consulting only for beginners?

No. Some of my most useful sessions are with hosts who've been doing this long enough to know their numbers but can feel something is off. Listings plateau. Descriptions go stale. Design choices that seemed fine at launch stop working as the market shifts. If you've read everything and still feel stuck, a second set of eyes from someone outside your situation is often worth more than another optimization article.

  • How long have you been doing this, and why should I trust your advice?

I started hosting in 2011. I've hosted thousands of guests, held Superhost status continuously, and have been mentoring other hosts since Airbnb reached out to me in 2020 to do exactly that. I don't sell a course. I don't have a method I'm trying to get you to buy. I have 14 years of experience with one property that I care about deeply, and 10 wildly different properties I have co-hosted. I’v consulted with thousands fo hosts worldwide, but I work with a small number of clients at a time so I can actually pay attention.
